Welcome to the Canterbury Bankstown Migrant Resource Centre (CBMRC) Website
Our Website provides information on services the CBMRC offers to Culturally And Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities with a special interest on newly arrived migrants, refugees and humanitarian entrants. The CBMRC specifically supports the aspirations of smaller and emerging communities in the region. The Centre also provides a range of professional advice and other support services to all members of the community within our catchment, including tenants and socially and financially disadvantaged people who require our support services.

The Canterbury Living Library (CLL) was officially launched on Monday 15 June 2009, during Refugee Week at Campsie Library by Robert Furolo, Canterbury Mayor and Member for Lakemba. It was well attended and we had Retired Justice Michael Kirby, the CLL patron and MP Linda Burney speak with "Living Books" reading session afterwards. Additional "Living Library" Book readings are planned for September at the moment....Watch this space...! |
